Murals

Murals can be used to enliven and customize a personal or commercial space. Jordan has 20 years of experience creating murals for non-profits, businesses, and private homes.

Murals can be done in a wide variety of styles. Jordan will work with you directly to determine what will suit your space. Pricing is typically based on complexity and size, and ranges between 20.00-50.00 square foot. Many styles can be done in a way that makes a custom mural more affordable than wallpaper or tile.

A person dressed in a light blue shirt, black shorts, a white cap, and black sneakers, with a beige backpack, stands in front of a large, colorful mural. The mural features a gradient of colors from yellow to red and purple, forming a vibrant geometric pattern on a wall.

Mural Pricing and Sizing

Jordan can accommodate a range of complexities and sizes. Outdoor and two-storey murals may require special pricing. Below is a rough guide for three popular mural styles; we encourage you to email us for more precise estimates for your particular project.

A few recent murals by Jordan Danger

A colorful wall mural featuring large vases with plants and leaves in shades of purple, yellow, green, and lavender in an indoor setting.

When owner and physiotherapist, Krista, first reached out, I was so excited to help. Krista has recently expanded the footprint of Pelvic Support Physiotherapy, an all-genders inclusive pelvic floor physio clinic in the west end of Ottawa, Ontario.

This new mural beckons clients into the freshly-created yoga room, where physio-trained yoga instructors will provide therapeutic yoga sessions. It’s a lovely space.

Krista wanted something zen, earthy, but not too feminine. We opted to avoid flowers (a common metaphorical symbol for women’s anatomy), and instead focused on plants and vessels.

The piece overall is 19’ long and 10’ tall. A huge mural, done in a fresh and modern style as befits this fresh and modern clinic.

The Richmond Fox

When Paul and Karen began working on the Richmond Village Bakehouse in one of the town’s oldest Victorian homes, it only made sense to include a fox as one of their art pieces.

The gorgeous home is ornate from head to toe, but due to fire code the bakery required that two antique doors be replaced with ugly fire-proof doors. The murals that Jordan created have improved the look of these safety features while honoring the atmosphere of the establishment.

Antique hardware homage

The Richmond Village Bakehouse is in one of the town’s oldest Victorian homes, and you’ve never seen details like it. Each door sports hand-chiseled hardware, with each door sporting a unique design.

The gorgeous home is ornate from head to toe, but due to fire code the bakery required that two antique doors be replaced with ugly fire-proof doors. For one of these doors, Jordan created this mural as a fun background for instagram photos and other fun in the rentable party room.

Wooden interior door with decorative trim, positioned slightly ajar. Interior room visible to the right, with baseboard and corner of a white wall. Items on the floor include a white bucket, a roll of blue paper towels, a small glass jar, a black tray with partially eaten food, and a brown container. The floor is hardwood.

Trompe l’oiel doors for heritage house

On the backside of the two fire doors installed in the beautiful Richmond Village Bakehouse, Jordan imitated the moulding work of the original antique doors that were replaced to meet fire code. Both these doors are frequently overlooked, as most visitors think they are the original three-dimensional doors. In fact, these are a visual effect and are completely flat to the touch!

Working with ten selected youth at this innercity drop-in, Jordan helped them create a mural that memorialized the many diversity champions these youth had learned to look up to. Painting was done hand-in-hand with the youth, many of whom had never held a brush before.
